Then I trained as a gemologist and stones stopped being colours. I qualified in 2024. Three days a week I still sit in a laboratory grading stones, and once you have looked inside enough of them you cannot go back to buying one off a list.
So I choose every stone myself, under a microscope, before anything is drawn, and the piece gets designed around what is inside it. No two are the same. That is the whole point and also, occasionally, very annoying.

I choose every stone under a microscope.

I draw around the stone, not the other way round.
